At Health Care Pharmacy we have a state of the art sterile compounding room equipped with two Vertical Laminar Airflow Hoods and an ISO Class 7 Cleanroom. We also have staff members who have undergone training and accreditation in Aseptic Compounding Practices through PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America). This allows us to prepare compounds that require a sterile environment in order to prevent contamination.
Our sterile compounding department works closely with the Northeast Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) in order to provide home infusion therapy for clients in Greater Sudbury and the surrounding area, Burks Falls, as well as Parry Sound. We provide multiple services that allow residents of these communities to receive health care treatment in their homes and to maintain their normal lifestyles while undergoing treatment. Through the CCAC, we provide these clients with all the supplies that they will need in order to make their stay at home as comfortable as possible. For infusion therapy, we prepare IV antibiotics, pain management treatment, as well as hydration therapy.
